Well, it's only been A MONTH since my first and only post. Wow! What a jerk I am for stringing everybody along for one exciting update and then dropping off the face of the earth. A lot has happened since then... thanks for all the prayers for my Uncle by the way (he had surgery, complications after surgery, and is still recovering).... but, we'll move on to the present and things rattling around in this brain of mine!
I'm currently listening to newearthmud.net! What's that you say, how am I listening to a website? You mean to tell me that you haven't heard of the latest greatest free way to listen to music? (Honestly now, the internet had to be about the worst thing for established musicians)! Actually, I try to honor an artist making his living through a song by buying the music before listening to it unless posted free on their website, as in New Earth Mud. (And yes, I catch a lot of grief from people around me for it! I must be the only one out here who doesn't illegally rip off songs?!?)
Johnny Goody Two shoes that I am with music, I realized the other day that I still am known to use pirated software. Which is worse? Neither? It's easy for me to stand up and say buy that $1 song, but when it comes to a program that might cost $40-$200 it's okay to pirate it (or, use the free trial several times in a row.)
Okay, so I've confessed my sins (Father, please forgive me)... maybe after this reflection I should do a little something I like to call: action. That's right, pay for the software I'm using illegally if I'm going to be able to stand on anything when I try to tell people not to rip off other people's music.
Has anyone else seen the movie "Diary of a Mad Black Woman"? Hilarious. Make sure if you watch it, you check out the bonus features where the director Tyler Perry talks about why he made the characters and the movie. He's trying to show people how God can work in the real world and I thought he did it with panache [that means style for you non-thesaurus people]. Though most Christian artists (I'll generalize the Christian media in this paragraph) try to hit people over the head with blatant messages that usually turn people away, Mr. Perry uses real life situations, comedy, real life language (not the churchy talk we all try to use to make ourselves look good), and drama to bring about a message of finding hope in God and in those around you. It was great!!!
Anyway, that's my thoughts for the week. I'll try to get back sooner than the last post (at least 3 months from now...) Actually, I was thinking Saturday, I would write a little, so- until then...

Wow, you're back. It's sad to look at your archives and realize there's only one post for each month so far.
Anyway, welcome back to bloggerland and I look forward to your insights into the world (which will be of much more importance than anything I write about)
