Change (no, not the coin type)

Change... will it ever stop?
It's official, there's going to be a change in my wife and mine's life. (No, we're not pregnant). It has been a dream of mine for years to go to seminary and pursue becoming an ordained minister. I have applied to Asbury Theological Seminary, notified my church of my intentions, and have begun pursuing scholarships. My wife is currently looking for a teaching job in the area. So, be in prayer for us as we continue down this exciting/nervewracking path!

Dan,

Congrats on the change in your life. However, you single-handedly derailed an intricate plan Damon and I had developed that would have revolutionized your life in ways seminary can't. With Josh moving back in the area, we were set to turn our focus on getting back in the area for weekly games of Risk (and yes, the Ukraine is still weak.) However, you and your "calling from God" have ruined our plans. So, uhhh, yeah, good luck with that. Thanks for nothing.

Hey Dan,
Came across your blog through a comment you left on Luke's blog.
Good luck with the seminary dream. My dad was a Baptist minister for more than 40 years and is now a hospice chaplain.
He is my hero and embodies everything positive about organized religion.
It's just a shame that kind of stuff skips a generation!
Best of luck to you and your family.
