The sounding board is the part of a string instrument (like a piano) that transmits the vibrations of the strings to the air, greatly increasing the loudness of sound over that of a string alone. It is also a generic name for a group of people bouncing ideas off of each other. This blog gives me a chance to “sound” things out loud and I hope I will be amplified by our interaction.

a middle class brick wall
Like the artwork to the left (supposedly from Kentucky- as posted on www.graffiti.org), graffiti is an expression from the soul of the creator. Now, in Wilmore, we don't have the colorful, flowing art type of graffiti- just the words written by angst driven young adults. But, in principle, it's still about baring your soul to the world, with possibly a little shock value involved. Unfortunately for the artist who decided to share his soul with Wilmore, the message was a little fuzzy: "asse-hole." Must hurt to have your one shot at glory be a lasting reminder of a mistake. It's gotta be like giving the finger to the guy you hate the most, but realizing you just used your pointer finger, and he thinks you're telling him he's the man.... Ahhh, the musings of a tired seminary student with his one shot for glorey on the world wide web (possibly a middle class brick wall????).
