the new taboo

hmm. thats a toughy. I think that Americans don't handle the concept and reality of death very well. I think it is like the pink elephant in the room of our society. We all know we will die one day, but fail to aknowledge that we cannot escape death. On sex, i think it is becoming very commonplace in speech. Could we view death as taboo because we deny our own finite-ness (is that a word?)
...looks like I would agree with that quote.
