Shopping Is So Much Fun
So, I've got most of my shopping done, but I still have to get the last third of Joanna's Christmas present. She's a tough cookie to shop for. I also need to get my Uncle a movie: The Polar Express (he loves trains). I like to give gifts and I stress out over whether the gifts I give will be good enough for those I love. So- those I love- hope you like your gifts... if not- there's always receipts for returns.
For All My Youth Worker Friends Out There:
Is This A New Breed of Youth Worker?

This is a little scary if the "new breed" aren't concerned about teens involvement in some of the activities listed in the article. I know all aren't going to have the same values that I do. Scary, scary.
And Finally:
The Chronicles of Narnia movie event we've been planning is almost here. Several youth groups have gotten together to rent out a theatre and then host a rally afterwards where we will do some door prizes, pepsi's, message behind the movie, and fun. I think it will be great, but do I think it will be the biggest evangelistic event ever? I think I align myself with Dan Kimball on this one. Narnia's going to be awesome, but relationships rule when it comes to changing someone's life, not a two hour movie, no matter how great. I'm still going to be sitting on the edge of my seat when the movie starts... I'll let you know how it goes on Monday.
