values, excitement, and more

Values

In my first Vocation of Ministry class, we talked about what affects our values. The following is a brief list of the many I wrote down about me as we processed together:

• People I admire: parents, sis, jay tucker, louie giglio, josh, luke, kirk, barry, lance, joanna- to name a few
• Songs Meaningful to Me: Only Unchanging One, Potter's Hands, Come Thou Fount, I Saw The Light, I Could Not Ask For More
• Favorite Scripture Passages: Isaiah 61:1-7, Philippians 2, John 3:30, Mark 9:24
• Things Important to Me (values): family, quality time with those close to me, god time, sleep...

As outsiders (i.e. not me), what values do you see me display? Sometimes we need an honest look at what our life reflects. Be a mirror for me.

Football started tonight (Culpepper looked sporadic, but the Steelers looked amazing)!!!!!!

Some Mountain Dew fanatics may ask why the dew without the caffeine? I am trying to cut back on my caffeine intake and considering this is the only soda I truly like, caffeine free it is. I'm happy to say after trying this other type of md, I'm addicted to the taste not the caffeine. Crap, addiction, now I've gotta work on that, too!

Played basketball on Wednesday (hopefully Friday also) and have bruises and burns on my knees from the floor. Man I love this game!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife is going to the doctor tomorrow b/c her ear has been giving her problems for a while now. While a seemingly small request in light of other issues going on in the world, please pray that the doctors will know what is going on and how to relieve the pain and loss of hearing she has been experiencing. Thank you.
